Need full length 90's era Mistral mast extension

Sep 17, 2017 by Markd

Anyone have one of these they can part with? My mistral extension (30 cm) is now too short for the newer Severne race board sails. It needs by be on the order of 37 cm or more. Any chance of an ancient one sitting in the teaching trailer? Willing to pay cash money for one of these rare items! Will be trying to make do with short one today for practice at Shell Point but it would be nice to see how the sail is really intended to look. Thanks Mark Powell 273-1004

Thanks! Britt from North Beach set me up with a Chinook extension on a Mistral base. Sail looks great now!

Do you mean a gold-colored threaded extension with two blue plastic collars that tighten together to set the extension length? Got one in Seabrook, TX. Barbara Belt

Thought I had one but turns out I don't - sorry. The luff on my severne is 557 (same as yours it sounds like). I don't have a 530 mast, so I'm using a 550 - it actually works better than my 520, I think . Who makes 530 masts anyway?? btw, the severne site says the luff is 541 - have they redesigned the sail or is this just a typo? I don't think I'd like sailing it at that aspect...

And by "ancient one", I mean mast mast extension... I know we have lots of ancient ones of other types sitting within and without the teaching trailer!
